CoinData Collection Tracker — Help

Getting started

Select a denomination, year and variety, enter the grade and details, then select Add Coin. Multiple specimens of the same coin are supported.

Saving your collection

Select Save Collection to download a JSON file. A reminder appears after every 10 new coin entries. Keep the latest download and a separate backup. New downloads may not overwrite your master file.

Automatic browser recovery

After each change, CoinData attempts to save a temporary recovery copy in this browser. Important: If browser history and website data are erased or cleared, your recovery copy may be permanently lost. Private browsing, storage limits or using another device may also prevent recovery. Always download your collection file.

Opening a collection

Select Open Collection to load a saved JSON file. Opening another collection replaces the current one.

Custom fields

Rename the four custom headings as needed. Each specimen has its own entries under these headings.

Values and rarity

Estimated values use CoinData recorded sales and may be unavailable. Rarity colours follow the live catalogue. Green purchase prices are below the matched three-year median; red prices are above it. Differences are estimates, not realized profits. Use View Sales to inspect the CoinData auction records.

Reports and sorting

Search, filter or sort your collection. Export CSV Report creates a spreadsheet-friendly snapshot; continue to use the JSON download as your editable master file. The rarity profile counts specimens, including duplicates.

Your collection is not uploaded to CoinData.

Save your collection

You have added 10 coins since your last save reminder or download. Download an updated collection file to avoid losing your work.
